This is a recipe for topping digestive biscuits with a lovely walnut caramel. Very easy to make, with a texture a bit like brittle.
45 digestive biscuits
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
- Place biscuits on baking tray.
- Combine margarine and butter (yes... 125g of each!) sugar and nuts in a saucepan over medium heat. Let boil for 2 minutes.
- Spread over biscuits. Bake 10 minutes. Remove and immediately transfer to foil with spatula.
