You don't have to buy microwave popcorn! I keep a jar of popcorn kernels and a small bottle of fancy olive oil in my office.


Serves: 2 

  • 1/4 cup unpopped popcorn
  • 1 pinch salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil, or more if needed

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

  1. Place popcorn in a brown paper bag. Tightly seal the bag by folding the top several times.
  2. Microwave on High until the popping slows, about 2 minutes. Carefully open the bag. Season with salt and drizzle with olive oil. Reclose the bag and shake to distribute the seasoning.
