King-Sized Chocolate Chip Biscuit

It's hard to improve on the chocolate chip biscuit, but if you want to surprise everyone, try making this giant biscuit on a pizza tray.


Serves: 16 

  • 250g butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (185g) white sugar
  • 3/4 cup (125g) packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups (330g) plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon bicarb soda
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

  1. In large bowl beat butter, white sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well.
  2. Gradually add flour, salt and bicarb soda, beating until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  3. Spread in greased 40cm round pizza pan. Bake at 190 degrees C for 20-25 minutes. Cool biscuit in pan on a cooling rack. Decorate as desired.
