    This is a great recipe for the bread machine, very fragrant and tasty. Perfect with an Italian dinner like spaghetti or lasagne.

    Serves: 15 

    • 1 3/8 cups (360ml) water
    • 3 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
    • 4 cups plain flour
    • 3 tablespoons white sugar
    • 2 teaspoons salt
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 teaspoon dried basil
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
    • 1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
    • 2 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:3hours  ›  Ready in:3hours5min 

    1. Place ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
    2. Select Basic or White Bread cycle, and press Start.

    This recipe made a HUGE loaf that fully filled my bread-maker. Cooked beautifully too! I work for a company that makes Parmesan and love this style of cheese, so added about 1/2 cup - I still reckon you could add more. Though the garlic is fairly noticeable, I'm not sure that you can taste much of the other herbs, so will add rosemary next time instead of chives and see how that goes. My wife does not like chilli, but I do - so I might make a 1/2 recipe one with added chilli too. Go ahead - make this nice bread! - 15 Dec 2011
