The great advantage of a slow cooker is so you can set it up in the morning and have a great hot meal at the end of the day. Serve this with spaghetti.

My 10 year old daughter cooked this for us tonight and it was delicious! Recommend leaving out the tomato purée, as the sauce was a little overpowering. Otherwise: easy, affordable, and delicious!  -  02 Apr 2018

Fantastic .Made this meal, then mowed the lawn while it was slow cooking .It turned out to be awesome and I was the star of the day .  -  14 Apr 2011

Incredible recipe! I will never make meatballs any other way! I actually made the meat balls (added parmesan, basil and garlic powder, less breadcrumb) a couple of days ago and froze them. This morning I just mixed the spagetti sauce and a 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes with juice (skipped the puree and added basil, oregano, and a couple of tablespoons of sugar to cut the acidity) and added the frozen meatballs. Cooked for about 10 hours on low. Tender, flavorful, and delicious. Plenty of delicious sauce. Thanks previous reviewers, and thanks for this great recipe submission!  -  06 Apr 2006  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
