    Prepared salsa is combined with mince and then layered with soured cream, shredded lettuce, and cheese. Serve cold with tortilla chips.

    Serves: 7 

    • 500g beef mince
    • 450g salsa
    • 225g sour cream
    • 1/2 head iceberg lettuce - rinsed, dried, and sliced
    • 250g grated Cheddar cheese

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Place mince in a large frying pan. Cook and stir over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excess fat. Stir in salsa, and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
    2. Spread the cooked meat across the bottom of a pie dish, cover, and refrigerate.
    3. When meat is completely chilled, spread the sour cream over it; arrange the lettuce evenly over the sour cream, and top with the cheese.

    We did not care for the chilled mince / salsa. This could be easily modified but as written we didn't care for it. Sorry. - 04 May 2013
