Prepared salsa is combined with mince and then layered with soured cream, shredded lettuce, and cheese. Serve cold with tortilla chips.
500g beef mince
225g sour cream
1/2 head iceberg lettuce - rinsed, dried, and sliced
250g grated Cheddar cheese
- Place mince in a large frying pan. Cook and stir over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excess fat. Stir in salsa, and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
- Spread the cooked meat across the bottom of a pie dish, cover, and refrigerate.
- When meat is completely chilled, spread the sour cream over it; arrange the lettuce evenly over the sour cream, and top with the cheese.
We did not care for the chilled mince / salsa. This could be easily modified but as written we didn't care for it. Sorry.
