    This a particularly spicy chilli, so you might want to adjust the quantity of chilli powder to your own taste. Eat with lettuce and tortillas.

    Serves: 6 

    • 500g lean beef mince
    • 1 cup diced onion
    • 1/2 red capsicum, diced
    • 3 tablespoons chilli powder
    • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 1 (410g) tin peeled and diced tomatoes
    • 1 (420g) tin kidney beans, drained
    • 1 cup spaghetti sauce
    • 1 cup salsa
    • 1/4 cup taco sauce

    1. In a large saucepan or stockpot, cook mince, onion and capsicum until beef is browned. Drain off excess fat.
    2. Stir in the chilli powder, garlic, bay leaf, diced tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, salsa and taco sauce. Lower heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans just before serving and heat through.
