Preheat the oven to 190 degrees C. Lightly grease baking trays.
In a medium bowl cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Stir in the molasses. Combine the flour, bicarb soda, salt, cinnamon and ginger; stir into the molasses mixture alternately with the milk. Finally, mix in the chocolate chips and raisins. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared baking trays.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow biscuits to cool on baking tray for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
Awful - I think the recipe should be 1/4 cup molasses - not 1 cup. Mine came out the colour of dark chocolate, not pale brown like the photo. Also, the ground cloves was omitted from the Directions. - 29 Jun 2016
