In a large frying pan cook both the minces and onion until brown.
In a large saucepan mix together the tomatoes, garlic, carrots, peas, water, bay leaves, olive oil and salt. Add the meat mixture. Bring to a boil. Cover partially and reduce to a simmer. Cook for one hour, stirring occasionally.
Very yummy recipe. My youngest ate 3 bowls. Also I used one can of tomato puree in place of one can of tomatoes to give it more of a sauce like appearance. I put the peas on the side as my picky eaters would snub this. - 20 May 2013
