This is a great peach cobbler that uses fresh peaches and is easy to make. Adjust the brown sugar accord into your taste and the sweetness of the peaches.


Serves: 12 

  • 8 fresh peaches, peeled, seeded and sliced
  • 60g butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup (90g) brown sugar
  • 2 cups (250g) plain flour
  • 2 cups (440g) white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, lightly whisked
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  1. Preheat an oven to 180 degrees C. Spray a 22x33cm cake tin with cooking spray.
  2. Arrange the peaches in the prepared cake tin. Scatter the butter over the peaches then sprinkle the brown sugar evenly on top. Set aside.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until the crust is lightly browned; about 45 minutes.
  4. Mix flour, white sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Stir the oil into the beaten eggs then stir the egg mixture into the dry ingredients.
  5. Spoon the batter over the peaches then sprinkle cinnamon on top.
