sounds yummy. what's the time and temp when you bake it?  -  01 May 2009  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

Made this for the first time last week - just going to make another as it was so gorgeous. we ate it for breakfast/mid-morning/pudding and supper. We don't like raisins too much so just put in more cherries. I used golden syrup instead of treacle, and melted in a large saucepan. The most difficult bit of this recipe was having to leave it overnight before sampling. Texture/flavour great. I am going to toast the almonds a little in today's creation. I also found that I needed a 23cm loose bottom flan tin to make it in but I think I was a bit heavy handed with the biscuits (it seemed a shame to leave a couple in the packet so lobbed them all in!) The end result belies the simplicity of this recipe.  -  09 Mar 2015  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
