Giant Chocolate Biscuit

This is a giant non-bake biscuit that includes golden syrup, chocolate, sultanas, almonds, cherries and broken biscuits.


Serves: 10 

  • 125g butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 125g dark cooking chocolate
  • 1 1/2 cups roughly broken vanilla biscuits
  • 1/4 cup sultanas
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup glace cherries

  1. Put the butter, molasses, sugar and chocolate into an ovenproof glass bowl and microwave on high for two minutes or until butter and chocolate have melted. Stir well.
  2. Add the broken biscuits, sultanas, almonds and cherries. Mix well to coat them with the chocolate mixture.
  3. Place a 17cm plain flan ring on a flat serving plate. Spoon in the biscuit mixture. Press down evenly. Chill in refrigerator for about 8 hours or overnight. Remove flan ring and serve.
