Chocolate Chip and Rice Bubble Slice

    Rice bubbles and chocolate chips are held together with golden syrup, sugar and peanut butter. Easy to make easy to eat.

    Serves: 24 

    • 1 cup (250ml) golden syrup
    • 1 cup (220g) white sugar
    • 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
    • 8 cups rice bubbles
    • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

    1. Butter a 22x33cm cake tin.
    2. Pour the sugar, golden syrup and peanut butter into a large microwave bowl. Microwave on high until it begins to bubble; two to three minutes. Once the mixture is boiling remove from the microwave oven and stir in the cereal and chocolate chips until coated.
    3. Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin. Wet hands and press down the treats until smoothed. Let cool and cut into squares.

    the yummiest rice bubble slice ever, I usually melt some more chocolate and cover the top with it, and then decorate it with smarties or what ever I have at home. Even the people on diet go for second and third slice.  -  21 Jun 2015
