Preheat the oven to 190 degrees C. In a bowl stir together the flour, bicarb soda, salt and pudding mix; set aside.
In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Using a tablespoon drop large cookies at least 5cm apart on ungreased baking trays. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven until lightly golden. Cool on baking trays for a few minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
