When you put a lot of effort into a main you want an easy side dish that tastes great but isn't too much effort, this is it.

Serves: 6 

  • 8 carrots, peeled and sliced into 2cm pieces
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:35min 

  1. In a medium sized saucepan combine carrots, water, butter, sugar, salt and dill.
  2. Bring to a boil then reduce heat, cover and simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until carrots are tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
