Caramel chocolate candy bars are melted down and combined with rice bubbles to create a base that is topped with more chocolate.


Serves: 25 

  • 4 (60g) milk chocolate covered caramel bars
  • 185g butter or margarine, divided
  • 3 cups rice bubbles
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

  1. In the microwave or in the top of a double boiler melt the chocolate bars and 120g of butter stirring occasionally until smooth.
  2. Stir in rice bubbles until well blended. Press into a greased 26x17cm cake tin.
  3. Melt chocolate chips and remaining 65g butter or margarine stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and spread over the top of bars.
  4. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm then cut into squares.
