Once made refrigerate and you will have a fruit sauce for your desserts and ice cream on hand. You can change the fruits around as desired.


Serves: 40 

  • 1/2 cup sultanas
  • 1/2 cup mandarin segments
  • 1 cup pitted prunes
  • 3/4 cup (185g) white sugar
  • water to cover
  • 1 (400g) tin sliced peaches, diced
  • 1 (400g) tin pineapple pieces
  • 3/4 cup (85ml) brandy

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

  1. In a large saucepan combine sultanas, mandarins, prunes, sugar and water to cover. Simmer over medium heat until syrupy; about 10 minutes.
  2. Stir in peaches, pineapple and brandy. Store in refrigerator.
