    A perfect way to eat leftover ham with not a Christmas flavour in site. This onion gravy has a barbecue flavour to it and goes well with mashed potatoes and vegetables.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 tablespoons chopped onions
    • 1/2 cup (125ml) tomato sauce
    • 1/4 cup (65ml) water
    • 1/4 cup (65ml) vinegar
    • 1/4 cup (65ml) mustard
    • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 500g cooked ham, thinly sliced and diced

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. In a frypan with a small amount of oil fry onions until brown.
    2. In a bowl blend together tomato sauce, water, vinegar, mustard, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce.
    3. Combine this mixture in the frypan with onions and ham then simmer until hot; about 5 to 10 minutes.
