Quick and Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies
If you enjoy a tasty treat with a cup of coffee, look no further! These cookies make a scrumptious snack and are ready to eat in 40 minutes.
Ingredients
Serves: 24
- 225g butter
- 3/4 cup (150g) white sugar
- 3/4 cup (110g) brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 2 1/4 cups (280g) plain flour
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups (335g) milk chocolate chips

- Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease 2 baking trays.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in the chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto the prepared baking trays.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until light brown. Allow biscuits to cool on baking tray for 5 minutes before removing to a cake rack to cool completely.

This recipe is the best choc chip cookie recipe that ive seen yet. We have 5 kids, and they demolished them in about 2 days, even digging past the jam bikkies to get to them. 5 stars for sure. Ive also made them with 2 cups of coconut added and they are delish too! - 12 Feb 2015
