This fantastic brownie recipe is quick, easy and deliciously moist. You can create a denser texture by substituting plain flour instead of self raising flour.

    • 2 eggs
    • 1/2 cup (65g) self raising flour
    • 1/3 cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease and flour an 20x20cm or 23x23cm square cake tin.
    2. In a medium bowl, beat together the butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well.
    3. Combine the flour, cocoa and salt; stir into the sugar mixture. Mix in the vanilla and stir in walnuts, if desired. Spread evenly into the prepared tin.
    4. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are firm. Cool before cutting into squares.

Try adding in chocolate chips or other types of nuts for some variety!
