    When it comes to burgers this is my favourite, the homemade patties includes honey mustard, brown sugar, garlic powder and chilli flakes.

    Serves: 4 

    • 500g lean beef mince
    • 2 teaspoons onion powder
    • 1/4 cup (60g) honey mustard
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 2 teaspoons chilli flakes
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 4 slices Swiss cheese
    • 4 hamburger buns

    1. Mix the beef mince, onion powder, honey mustard, garlic powder, chilli flakes, salt and brown sugar in a large bowl. Shape into 4 patties.
    2. Heat the olive oil in a large frypan over medium heat. Cook the burgers turning occasionally until cooked; about 15 to 20 minutes for well done.
    3. Top each patty with a slice of Swiss cheese shortly before removing from the frypan; serve on hamburger buns.
