This is a spin on the normal pancake style waffle, this one uses marzipan as its base which creates a sweet nutty waffle.
Makes: 10 waffles, depending on size
200g marzipan, cut into small cubes
200g plain flour
40g caster sugar
1 pinch salt, to taste
- Using an electric mixer, beat together milk and marzipan until smooth.
- Gradually add the eggs one at a time beating after each addition.
- Add flour, sugar and salt. Stir until well combined.
- Cook the waffles as normal according to your waffle maker's instructions.
