Simple Chocolate Truffles

    These chocolate truffles couldn't be any simpler. Oreos are crushed then mixed with cream cheese before being dipped in chocolate; yep, three ingredients and you're done.

    Makes: 42 

    • 450g Oreo biscuits (45 biscuits)
    • 225g cream cheese, room temperature
    • 450g dark chocolate, white chocolate or milk chocolate

    Preparation:45min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Extra time:2hours chilling  ›  Ready in:2hours50min 

    1. Crush (or process in a food processor) 9 Oreo biscuits, set aside.
    2. Crush the remaining biscuits and place into a medium sized bowl. Mix in cream cheese. Roll into 3cm balls and chill until set.
    3. Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
    4. Dip truffles in melted chocolate then transfer to prepared tray. Sprinkle with Oreo biscuit crumbs and chill until set; about 1 hour.
    5. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

    I made these added malibu left them to soak over night then i mixed dark choc and white choc dipped them in using my fingers to create tiny peaks they looked fab! i made about 30 lasted 2 days.     These were delicious and so easy to make. They looked really impressive too. I crushed up a Flake bar and sprinkled that over the melted chocolate instead of the Oreo cookies.
