This is a very basic egg flan that is rich and simple in flavours. Serve with fresh fruit and/or a coulis to provide a taste contrast.
1/3 cup (90g) caster sugar
3/4 cup (90g) plain flour
40g butter, melted
2 cups (500ml) milk
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Butter a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix together eggs and sugar. Add the flour and melted butter then mix.
- Gradually stir in the cold milk to fully incorporate.
- Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 45 minutes.
