This frothy drink has a more rustic feel to it than hot chocolate and makes a nice change. The milk is warmed with brown sugar and cinnamon.
2 cups (500ml) milk
2 tablespoons dark brown soft sugar
1 pinch ground cinnamon, to taste
- In a small saucepan heat the milk, dark brown soft sugar and ground cinnamon over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent the milk from sticking on the bottom of the saucepan.
- When the milk begins to bubble remove from heat and transfer to a blender.
- Blend until frothy. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and serve hot.
Make sure you use high quality ground cinnamon.
