This frothy drink has a more rustic feel to it than hot chocolate and makes a nice change. The milk is warmed with brown sugar and cinnamon.


Serves: 4 

  • 2 cups (500ml) milk
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown soft sugar
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon, to taste

  1. In a small saucepan heat the milk, dark brown soft sugar and ground cinnamon over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent the milk from sticking on the bottom of the saucepan.
  2. When the milk begins to bubble remove from heat and transfer to a blender.
  3. Blend until frothy. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and serve hot.


Make sure you use high quality ground cinnamon.
