Dessert Chocolate Cake

    This is a wonderfully easy chocolate cake to make that is ideal to serve warm with fresh cream and berries for dessert.

    Serves: 8 

    • 250g cooking chocolate
    • 150g salted butter
    • 3 eggs, whisked
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 1/3 cup (90g) caster sugar
    • 3/4 cup (90g) plain flour

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
    2. Melt chocolate in a glass bowl in the microwave for 1 minute. Add the butter and microwave for 20 seconds or until melted. Stir well.
    3. Gradually add the eggs whilst stirring continuously. Stir in the sugar and flour until well combined.
    4. Pour batter into a silicone mould and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
