Lettuce is stir fried with garlic and spring onions before being lightly seasoned with oyster sauce to create a quick and easy side dish.


Serves: 2 

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 spring onions, finely diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely diced, divided
  • 300g romaine lettuce, leaves separated
  • 2 teaspoons oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  1. Heat the oil in a wok over high heat. Add the spring onions and 1/2 of the garlic then stir fry until aromatic.
  2. Add the lettuce and oyster sauce then stir quickly. When the lettuce turns vivid green turn the heat down to medium.
  3. Add the remaining garlic and salt then stir. Serve immediately
