Easy Tartare Sauce

Fish and chips is not the same without a good tartare sauce, this is an easy way to make your own, if you have more time you can make the mayonnaise yourself too.


Serves: 4 

  • 5 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon capers
  • 12 flat leaf parsley leaves, finely diced
  • 1 shallot, finely diced
  • 6 cornichons or 3 small gherkins, finely diced
  • 1 hardboiled egg, yolk only, mashed

  1. Combine all ingredients and stir thoroughly until smooth.
  2. Chill until serving.
