Boiled Prawns with Chilli Sauce

Could it get any easier than boil and serve? Yet when I cook prawns like this I still get complements. Chilli bean sauce is my favourite sauce but you can use whatever you prefer.


Serves: 2 

  • 500g fresh, raw, shell on prawns, rinsed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • chilli bean sauce, to taste

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

  1. Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil. Add the salt and prawns and bring back to the boil.
  2. When the prawns turn pink, drain and serve alongside the chilli bean sauce.


Chilli bean sauce can be purchased in Asian speciality shops or online.
