If you are looking for meatballs that are a little bit different try these beautiful Chinese pork ones, they are ideal for party finger food.
200g pork mince
1 teaspoon finely diced ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cornflour
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon Shaoxing wine
1 pinch chilli powder, to taste
1 pinch finely ground pepper, to tatse
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

In a bowl mix together the pork, salt, cornflour, Shaoxing wine, soy sauce, chilli powder, pepper and ginger. Let sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavours to combine.
Using spoons, form the meat mixture into 3cm balls.
Heat the oil in a frying pan over high heat until hot. Reduce the heat to medium and fry the meatballs until golden on the outside and cooked in the centre. Ingredients
Shaoxing wine can be purchased in Asian speciality shops or online. Alternatively, you can use dry sherry instead.
These were nice. For whatever reason I added a chopped onion ?? which was too much for these. Otherwise, i liked the ginger flavour with the shaoxing wine. I added to a tomato and (slight) chilli sauce on top of noodles. Enjoyed by all.
