This is a delicious jelly flavoured with green tea. It is very simple to make and an unusual take on the usual fruit-flavoured jelly.


Serves: 4 

  • 1 teaspoon (15g) gelatine granules
  • 300ml water, divided
  • 70g sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (10g) powdered green tea
  • 450ml full cream milk

  1. Soak the gelatine in 100ml cold water for about 5 minutes, then gently warm the mixture until the gelatine has dissolved. Set aside.
  2. Bring 200ml water to the boil. Stir in the sugar until dissolved. Stir in the green tea powder and gelatine mixture.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool, then stir in the milk. Pour into a container and chill for 4 hours or until set.
