    Pork and cabbage are the perfect match, and even better with the addition of small dried prawns. Serve with freshly cooked rice.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2 

    • Marinade
    • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 tablespoon light soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon cornflour, mixed with 1 tablespoon water
    • 225g pork, thinly sliced
    • 2 tablespoons oil, divided
    • 1 head cabbage, finely sliced
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 6-8 small dried prawns, soaked (or use fresh)
    • 1 cup (250ml) hot water

    Directions

    1. Make the marinade by mixing together the sugar, salt, soy sauce and cornflour slurry. Mix in the pork, let marinate for 15 minutes.
    2. Heat a large frying pan with 1 tablespoon oil over high heat. Stir fry the pork until done, about 3-4 minutes. Set aside.
    3. Heat the same frying pan with the remaining 1 tablespoon oil over high heat. Stir fry the cabbage and salt until soft, 3-4 minutes.
    4. Add the pork and prawns to the pan. Add hot water, cover and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Adjust the seasoning accordingly.
