Camembert cheese is delicious when deep fried in batter - crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. These will go fast at a party!


Serves: 4 

  • oil for frying
  • 2 cups (250g) plain flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 200ml dry cider
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 camembert wheel

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:15min 

  1. Heat 5cm of oil in a deep frying pan to 180 C. Prepare the batter by mixing the flour, eggs, cider and oil.
  2. Cut the camembert into 8 wedges and dip the wedges in the batter.
  3. Deep fry the wedges for 5 minutes or until they are slightly brown.
  4. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
