    This is a simple but tasty way to serve Chinese broccoli which makes an idea side dish or vegetarian entree.

    Serves: 4 

    • 500g Chinese broccoli, trimmed
    • 2 to 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
    • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
    • fried shallots
    • fried garlic

    1. Bring a large saucepan of water to boil. Blanch the Chinese broccoli for 3 to 4 minutes until crisp but tender. Do not overcook.
    2. Alternatively, you can steam or microwave the Chinese broccoli.
    3. Drain well and arrange on a serving platter. Drizzle with oyster sauce and sesame oil. Sprinkle with fried shallots and garlic. Serve immediately.
