Beef and Tofu Patties

    These Korean patties known as 'Donjon' combine beef and tofu along with garlic and spring onion to create a wonderful pattie that can be eaten alone, with salad or in a burger.

    Serves: 6 

    • 500g firm tofu
    • 500g minced beef
    • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • 6 spring onions, diced
    • 1/2 cup (60g) plain flour
    • 3 eggs, whisked
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 2 tablespoons oil

    1. Wrap the tofu with cheese cloth and squeeze the tofu until all the water comes out.
    2. Put the tofu in a medium bowl and add beef, garlic, salt, black pepper and spring onions. Mix well and make small patties.
    3. Coat with flour and dip in eggs mixed with the salt.
    4. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry both sides until cooked through.
