Dee's Crisp Chocolate Chip Cookies

    If you are like me and enjoy a lovely crisp flat chocolate chip biscuit that is still a little chewy in the centre, then i'm sure you will love this recipe as much as I do! I've tried many different recipes and this is the best and easiest recipe I have ever used. I have made these so many times now, and vary it by adding white chocolate chunks or with m&m's! Yummy!

    Makes: 24 biscuits, depending on the size you want them

    • 1 - 1 & 1/4 Cup Plain flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
    • Pinch Salt
    • 110g Butter
    • 3/4 Cup Sugar
    • 1 Egg
    • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract (optional)
    • 1 Cup Choco chips/White Chocolate/M&Ms

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C
    2. In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, then stir in the vanilla if using. Sift in 1 cup of flour, salt and the baking soda and mix well, add more flour if necessary so you are able to roll the dough into balls. Mixture should still be soft, not firm. Stir in the chocolate chips.
    3. Roll the mixture into 1 inch balls (or bigger if you want) and place onto cookie trays lined with baking paper. Allow plenty of space for the cookies to flatten out, I do 9 to a cookie tray.
    4. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Allow biscuits to cool for a couple minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
