Pork Chops in Wine and Mustard Sauce

    This is a quick and easy mid week dinner that is all cooked in one frying pan. I like to serve it with pasta or rice.

    Serves: 4 

    • 4 thin pork chops
    • 3 tablespoons olive oil
    • 200ml white wine
    • 150ml thickened cream
    • 2 tablespoons mustard
    • salt and pepper, to taste

    1. Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the pork chops over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes per side until no longer pink inside. Remove the pork chops from the frying pan and set aside on a plate.
    2. Pour the white wine into the frying pan and bring to the boil scraping the bits off the bottom then simmer until the wine has reduced by half.
    3. Add the cream and mustard; stir well and return the pork chops to the frying pan. Cook the chops in the sauce for 5 minutes over low heat. Do not let the sauce boil. Serve immediately.

    added onions to the sauce,found it very tasty,but very rich,you dont need much to be full up,overall very pleasant dish.  -  07 Jul 2012
