Broccoli and Three Cheeses Gratin

    1 hour 5 minutes

If two cheeses are better than one, then three cheeses must be better than two. You can experiment with different cheeses like Pecorino Romano or feta cheese and the result will be just as good.

    1. Preheat oven to 240 degrees C.
    2. Wash the broccoli and cut into florets. Steam or cook in lightly salted water for about 5 minutes. The broccoli should be tender but still slightly crunchy.
    3. Meanwhile, in a large bowl whisk the eggs with milk, cream, grated cheeses, salt and pepper.
    4. Arrange the broccoli in a buttered dish, cover with egg-cheese mixture and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
    5. Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes or until the gratin is brown.

I felt this was more of a quiche than a gratin but it turned out pretty good. I thought it could use some kick so next time I'd add some cayenne pepper.  -  09 Jun 2018  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
