Raclette originates in Switzerland and is both a type of cheese and method of grilling it. Today you can buy special grills also with the same name and make it with friends similar to fondue.


Serves: 6 

  • 250g raclette cheese per person, sliced
  • 3-4 small waxy potatoes per person, boiled in their skins
  • 50g pastrami
  • 50g prosciutto
  • 150g gherkins
  • 150g pickled onions
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 bottle of white wine or 1 pot of tea

Preparation:30min  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Place all the ingredients on small plates. Place onto the dining table with the raclette grill.
  2. Serve white wine or black tea.
  3. Each guest receives a raclette tin. Place the cheese into the small tins and let melt on the lower grill and brown lightly.
  4. Pour melted cheese onto the plate with a piece of potato. Guests help themselves to other items.
