Simple Raspberry Sauce

    This is a simple raspberry sauce that has many uses including a topping for ice cream, coulis for cakes, sauce for puddings, the list is endless.

    Serves: 4 

    • 250g raspberries
    • 50g icing sugar or sugar
    • 20ml Cointreau

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Puree all ingredients in a blender then pass through a sieve.
    2. Stir in the Cointreau then cool. Serve
    3. Heat the raspberries and sugar in a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes, do not boil.

    This was fabulous - no need to change a thing!!!! I needed something quick and easy to give a zing to to a chocolate desert that I had made which has a fruit accompaniment as well as ice cream or cream.
