    This is a decadent dessert with a chocolate brownie base and marbled berry cheesecake top. A dessert that will definitely please.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 8 

    • Base
    • 100g sugar
    • 60g soft butter
    • 1 pinch salt, to taste
    • 6 tablespoons cocoa
    • 40g flour
    • 2 eggs, room temperature
    • Topping
    • 250g cream cheese
    • 1 egg, room temperature
    • 1 teaspoon cornflour
    • 200g fresh berries (may substitute frozen)
    • 50g coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
    • 100g sugar

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Grease or line a springform tin with baking paper.
    2. Base Beat sugar, butter and salt for 5 minutes until foamy using a hand mixer. Gradually add 2 eggs. Set aside 3 tablespoons of the butter cream.
    3. Sieve the cocoa and flour into a large bowl and fold into the butter cream. Add the coarsely chopped macadamia nuts to the mixture.
    4. Topping: In another bowl beat the cream cheese, egg and cornflour until fluffy using a hand mixer. Fold the berries in gently.
    5. Creating the Cake: Pour the nut base into the prepared springform tin. Smooth the mixture out. Spread the cream cheese topping on top.
    6. Drop the butter cream you set aside in small blobs on top and marble it into the topping with a fork.
    7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes.
    8. For the best flavour allow to cool and then place in the fridge for an hour.
