Easy Kinder Chocolate Muffins

    Kinder chocolate is my favourite to eat so it is only natural that I use it to cook with too, thus Kinder chocolate muffins.

    Serves: 12 

    • 125g butter
    • Muffin
    • 1/2 cup (125g) sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 1/2 cups (310g) flour
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1 pinch salt, to taste
    • 150ml milk
    • 100g Kinder Chocolate, cut into small pieces
    • Decoration
    • 50-100g Kinder chocolate
    • smarties or chocolate buttons, as a decoration

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:35min 

    1. Muffin: Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Grease a 12-hole muffin tin and dust with flour or line it with muffin cases.
    2. Beat the butter with a hand mixer until very creamy. Gradually stir in sugar and vanilla; mix well. Stir in eggs one by one stirring well after each egg.
    3. Fold the flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk. Stir with a spatula until mixed then fold in the chocolate pieces.
    4. Spoon mixture into prepared muffin tin. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes. Use a skewer to test if the muffins are baked in the middle.
    5. Allow the muffins about 10 minutes to cool in the tin then cool completely on a wire rack.
    6. Decoration: Melt the Kinder Chocolate and brush muffins with it. Decorate with smarties or chocolate buttons.
