This German Herb cheese is made from a cheese known as 'quark' however this can be replaced by cottage cheese. It tastes great spread on bread or on top of potatoes.


Serves: 8 

  • 250g quark or cottage cheese
  • 150g sour cream
  • 1 shallot, finely diced
  • 1 small clove garlic, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh garden herbs like parsley, chives, chervil, dill, basil, etc.

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Season well. Consume within a few days.
