This is the ultimate casserole; beef is slow cooked until tender in a red wine, bacon and onion sauce. It goes perfectly with fresh bread.

This was delicious - will make again! I skipped the eschalots, I also used dried parsley and Shiraz red wine as it was in my cupboard. I somehow managed to do it all in one big pot! Me and my husband really enjoyed it on a cold winter's day. Perfect with warm crusty baguette! Thank you. - 16 Jul 2017
