Barbecue Meat Seasoning

This is a great barbecue meat seasoning. Sprinkle straight onto the meat or mix the seasoning with a few tablespoons of olive oil, rub onto meat and allow to marinade for a few hours for heaps of flavour.

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried ground sage
- 1 teaspoon dried ground oregano
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 teaspoon dried ground rosemary
- 1 pinch chilli powder, to taste
- 1 pinch salt, according to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried ground thyme
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin

- Mix all the ingredients and store in a jar or airtight container.

You really do not need to add the oil. Simply rub with a little of this and let it sit. Barbecue, cook in the oven or whatever. Rubs are great ! - 02 Dec 2011
