Place all the vegetables with the pork chops in the slow cooker then relax; 6 hours later the preparation is forgotten and you are enjoying a hearty casserole.


Serves: 4 

  • 5 pork chops, diced
  • 100g mushrooms, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 100g frozen peas
  • 1 small bunch fresh spinach leaves
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 (400g) tins diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 garlic cloves, diced
  • 100ml water

Preparation:30min  ›  Cook:6hours  ›  Ready in:6hours30min 

  1. Place all ingredients into slow cooker. Turn on high for 6 hours.

We were impressed with the taste of this dish. Simple ingredients came together in a wonderful way. Lots of veges, little effort for a big burst of flavor. Served over rice and a nice hearty bread. Definitely will make again. I used juice from dish to make rice. - 22 May 2013


Well balanced and quite a healthy dish if all fat is trimmed from the pork prior to cooking. An enjoyable dish, however you may wish to add something further to the base as it is just a simple tomato sauce. - 07 Aug 2016
