Chocolate Cake, Egg Free

    Kids with egg allergies shouldn't miss out on chocolate cake, this is an easy no egg recipe that tastes great for the whole family.

    Serves: 12 

    • 185g butter
    • 125g sugar
    • 2 tablespoons golden syrup
    • 1 cup (250ml) milk
    • 1 1/2 cups (185g) plain flour
    • 1/2 cup (60g) cocoa
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon bicarb soda

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:1hour  ›  Ready in:1hour15min 

    1. Melt the butter, sugar, golden syrup and milk over a low heat.
    2. Once melted add the flour, cocoa, baking powder and bicarb soda.
    3. Stir well and pour into two loaf tins or one larger tin.
    4. Cook for 1 hour on 180 degrees C. Test with a skewer. If the mixtures sticks then cook for a little longer.
