Using a shallow ovenproof dish layer the ingredients in the order listed using about a quarter of the amount each time so that you end up with about four layers. Once you have reached the desired amount pour a little water into the dish to help the potatoes to soften a little quicker in the oven.
Top the dish off with a little extra grated cheese and pop in the oven.
Cooking time will vary depending on the size of your dish but around 1 hour is a good guideline. All ingredients should be cooked and lightly browned; the potatoes will be soft and the cheese well melted.
