"Cup" Chocolate Cupcakes

    I came up with this chocolate cupcake recipe in my cooking class at school. I iced the cupcakes and put half an oreo in the side so that these look like cups.

    Serves: 12 

    • 125g butter, softened
    • 1/2 cup (125g) caster sugar
    • 3/4 cup (90g) self-raising flour
    • 1/4 cup (30g) cocoa powder
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • 6 oreos chopped/crumbled

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C (180 fan forced). Line a muffin tin with patty pans.
    2. Put all of the ingredients except for the milk and oreos in a food processor and process until smooth.
    3. Add the milk and process until it is runny. Stir in the oreos
    4. Spoon into the patty pans.
    5. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
    6. Allow to cool then decorate.

    i love the recipe but the instructions could be improved it works better if you cream the sugar n butter add the eggs n vanilla mix till smooth mix in dry ingredients then add the milk i also prefer to cut the oreo's in half and place in the center off the filled cupcake cases before baking and for a delicious topping i scrap the cream out of 5 or 6 oreo's mix it with a bit off pre prepare icing made with water add a drop off vanilla and spread on top the crush the oreo parts and sprinkle on top  -  30 Aug 2011  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)

    I made these but i didnt add the cocoa powder instead i put some oreos in the food processor too and then i added bigger chunks of oreo cookies into the mixture too .... lovely  -  28 Mar 2011  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
