This is a very easy, tasty pavlova using evaporated milk, gelatine, sugar and egg whites. Needless to say, good for everyone - except pregnant women.
1 tin (375ml) evaporated milk
3/4 cup (185g) caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp gelatine
1/4 cup (60ml) hot water
2 egg whites
whipped cream and fruit to serve
Extra time:1hour chilling ›
- Mix the evaporated milk with the sugar, vanilla essence and egg whites. Then mix the gelatine with the hot water and add to the milk mixture.
- Beat the mixture at high speed with an electric beater until the mixture is thick.
- Put into a greased spring-form tin and place in fridge until set.
- Turn out onto a plate and spread whipped cream on top. Decorate with seasonal fruit.
