No-cook Pavlova

This is a very easy, tasty pavlova using evaporated milk, gelatine, sugar and egg whites. Needless to say, good for everyone - except pregnant women.


Serves: 6 

  • 1 tin (375ml) evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup (185g) caster sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 tbsp gelatine
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) hot water
  • 2 egg whites
  • whipped cream and fruit to serve

Preparation:15min  ›  Extra time:1hour chilling  ›  Ready in:1hour15min 

  1. Mix the evaporated milk with the sugar, vanilla essence and egg whites. Then mix the gelatine with the hot water and add to the milk mixture.
  2. Beat the mixture at high speed with an electric beater until the mixture is thick.
  3. Put into a greased spring-form tin and place in fridge until set.
  4. Turn out onto a plate and spread whipped cream on top. Decorate with seasonal fruit.
