Garlic Penne

    If you're a garlic lover you will love this penne recipe with has 10 cloves. The other spices are just chilli and parsley.

    Serves: 4 

    • 6 to 8 tablespoons olive oil
    • 10 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
    • handful chopped fresh parsley
    • 500g penne pasta
    • grated Pecorino Romano (or Parmesan) cheese, to garnish

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Cook penne according to pack instructions.
    2. In a pan, brown garlic in oil. Add salt, chillies and parsley and remove from heat.
    3. Toss penne pasta with garlic mixture and freshly grated cheese and serve!

    Made it healthier. I make this very often because we're big garlic fans and my family also loves pasta. I don't use as much olive oil and we prefer using blanched and stir fried broccoli instead of meat. Healthy and delicious!  -  21 Jul 2008

    I love garlic and I love this dish! One of my favourite things about this recipe is that it can be tailored to the leftovers you have in your fridge. I throw in roasted chicken, sausage or salmon, depending on what I have (although the sausage is definitely the best!), and I always add broccoli also. Thank you for the great recipe!  -  21 Jul 2008
